Uncle Luke Makes His Way to Sundance

From multi-platnium selling cd’s to a short lived reality television show, Luke Campbell, also known as Uncle Luke, has made his way to the Sundance Film Festival. His short film, Life and Freaky Time was one of the 64 out of 7,675 pictures selected for the annual Festival. If the film wins an award, it will be considered as an Oscar contender.

“It’s an honor to have a highly respected organization such as the Sundance Film Institute recognize me and my life as an important part of American culture by adding “The Life and Freaky Times of Uncle Luke” to their 2012 line up,” Luke said in a recent interview.

Not considered a biopic, but the film follows Luke’s crazy antics from his stint in Miami politics to his rise in the hip-hop world. If Three 6 Mafia can win an Oscar, is there room for Uncle Luke too?
