Surely, many of you Tastemakers have made resolutions to lose weight and workout more during 2013, but have any of you started looking into fitness regimens that may help you achieve and maintain your goals?
For those of you who have been researching workout routines and exercise videos, maybe you’ve come across P90x and Insanity. If you haven’t, keep reading… this information will definitely be helpful.
P90x and Insanity are two monster fitness regimens from Beachbody LLC that utilize killer workouts and nutrition guides to help establish a foundation for a healthier lifestyle, but which one is right for YOU. Lets review the facts.
P90x is a 90-day program designed by fitness expert Tony Horton. The program combines many exercise techniques such as strength training, cardio, yoga, plyometrics and stretching. P90x is designed to strengthen the entire body as a whole.
On the other hand, Insanity is a 60-day program with personal trainer Shaun T. This routine emphasizes strenuous stamina training that incorporates intense cardio routines, which allegedly results in noticeable core strength
Both fitness regimens can be done at home and no accompaniments are necessary; this is beneficial for those who can’t make it to the gym and don’t want to purchase expensive equipment.
Although Insanity boasts faster results, it is a very intense workout and considerably more strenuous than P90x. It seems that starting with P90x is the best route if you’re a beginner. After you’ve toned and conditioned your body, go ahead and tackle Insanity. However, if you’re already accustomed to a scheduled fitness plan and you just want to test your limits, go straight for Insanity.
Hopefully this helps you on your way toward a healthier and fit lifestyle. Don’t forget to let Tastemaker Magazine know about your fitness experience!Tweet this!
