So So Def 20 Year Anniversary Concert Shuts Atlanta Down

When we interviewed Jermaine Dupri last month, he assured us his 20 Year So So Def Anniversary concert was going to be epic, but no one really expected that he’d produce possibly the best event in Atlanta since Freaknic! Aside from the sold out concert being held at the Fabulous Fox Theatre, the roster of performers that graced the stage last night was like looking through your high school or college yearbook–an amazing flashback!

There seemed to be a surprise at every moment with legends such as Jay-Z, Mariah Carey, Ludacris, Monica, Xscape (Latocha and Tamika Scott), Kris Kross and more belting our favorite 90’s tunes like “Money Ain’t a Thing”, “Give It To You”, “Who Can I Run To”, and so many more.

Usher acknowledged his success with Jermaine while on stage saying ” I’ve made more hits with this man than anyone else.”

Mariah Carey also took a moment to say a word to Jermaine, as she wheeled out an Anniversary Cake with the number 20 on tops saying “Congratulations to my friend, JD!”

Jermaine is generally never the one to be at a lost for words but seemed amazed himself for being able to pulll such an amazing event. “Wow…this is crazy,” he said. “We did it! Thank you everyone–the fans, the artist…ain’t nobody f’in with my clique!”

Check out a few pictures from last night’s event below.
