Mr. Right vs. Mr. Right Now…

By Ask Janine — October 18, 2012

Mr. Right Now could be keeping you from meeting Mr. Right. Our society has completely switched values. The days of courting and getting to know would-be suitors have been [long] replaced by the fast paced world of speed dating and Internet hook ups.  I am not saying that people can’t find love in a chat room or over the course of ten mini dates. However, I do think that phone conversations and face-to-face interaction have taken a back seat to texting and online dating.

So, would you rather have someone just for the sake of companionship, or would you prefer to wait it out for “the one” to come along? Have we forsaken the notion of courting by trial and error? Have we put our dating lives in the hands of a computer’s algorithm? Simply plug in your attributes and “likes” and then the computer instead of your heart leads you to a mate?

Call me crazy, but I’d prefer to go about it the old-fashioned way: date until “he” finds me and laugh with my girlfriends about the duds while waiting for that special Mr. Right. Just some food for thought.

Until next time.

About Author

Before we get to know each other, I want to introduce myself. I am the co-owner of an online/home-party adult toy novelty company. I have encountered thousands of women along this journey that began almost five years ago. I started out selling toys and other adult novelties at ladies-only parties throughout the NY/NJ/CT tri-state area. From the first woman that confided intimate details about her sex life, to the many men that have asked me for tips; I've enjoyed every minute of this journey. I'm honored to be sharing with you. You're a new audience, so I'll take it slow; but hopefully we'll laugh and grow together. I'll be sharing relationship advice, sex tips and much more. You may not always agree, but please understand; I am just a girl with an opinion about a lot of things. So, I hope you grow to like the new column, “Ask Janine”. Janine, ToyClosetNYC.com
