Sisters Darlene and Lizzy Okpo debut their Spring 2012 look book for William Okpo, which includes modern feminine designs, touches of masculine elements and a twist from their Nigerian culture. Describing themselves as “free women”, you can see that mantra reflected in each of their garments for the upcoming season. This collection includes everything from maxi dresses and asymmetrical crop tops to trouser pants, shorts, and button up shirts, with a color palette consisting of whites, tans, oranges and dark greens.
A love for fashion and two creative minds inspired the creation of the line named after their father, William Okpo. Daughters of Nigerian immigrants, Darlene and Lizzy were moved by the idea of combining their parent’s style with the elements of american culture. William Okpo is for women who want to celebrate their own sense of style, injected with a bit culture and aesthetic.
