As new parents, receiving advice about how to raise your new baby can be overwhelming, but Jay-Z and Beyonce didn’t miss the opportunity last night to support their friend Erica Reid, wife of L.A. Reid, in the launch of her new book The Thriving Child: Parenting Successfully through Allergies, Asthma and Other Common Challenges after discovering that both her son and daughter suffered from serious allergies and irritations since birth.

Beyonce looked great in a teal Roland Mouret ‘Galaxy’ dress from the designers Fall 2005 collection, toning her look down a notch from her barely there Givenchy gown she wore during Monday night’s Met Ball. Mary J. Blige goes retro in clear framed cat eye glasses a coral blazer, which seems to be her fav color of the season, and a side swept pompadour.

We wouldn’t be surprised if Beyonce takes notes from Erica and pens her own mommy manuel. Especially, after being honored with a writing award from the The New York Association of Black Journalist. Reid, who is mother to 11-year-old daughter Arianna and eighty-year-old Addison, said in a recent interview that she believes in a firm but fair approach to parenting.  She says she’s sweet to them but firm and doesn’t let them get their way with every single thing. She may need to have a little chat with her pals Bey and Jay, because according to Jay-Z he’ll have the worst spoiled kid on the block!
