Tastemakers it’s the 18th annual ESSENCE Music Festival and everything is heating up in New Orleans this weekend! ESSENCE Communications President, Michelle Ebanks kicked off the  festivities with a charge that thousands of women will use this weekend as an opportunity to recharge themselves and connect with girlfriends.

In the festival’s first day youth have been empowered with their youth empowerment session and guest have started celebrating with parties all around the city. Yesterday Carol’s Daughter had their 4 You Bayou party at their pop up shop giving hair consultations to men and women and offering light bites and cocktails.
